Are you a Military Veteran interested in learning about Small- Scale Sustainable Farming?  Join us for the summer "Operation Groundwork" week-long training program, July 18-23rd, 2016.

This year we will be offering a hands-on program here at Blue Yonder. You will learn from experts in Beekeeping, Poultry Farming, Vegetable/ Produce Farming, Orchard Management, and Mushroom Cultivation just to name a few. We will also be offering a few field trips to visit other operations including a start up Hydroponic Farm and a Grass-Fed Cattle Operation

Running a farm means you become a Small Business Owner. To help you learn about what it takes to run a business, we will also be hearing from speakers who can help you build the framework for a thriving business. You will learn the basics about business planning, marketing, accounting, taxes, as well as support organizations that can help the veteran owned business such as AgrAbility, and the Small Business Association (SBA).

There is no cost to attend this week of training and meals and housing are included. Transportation costs to get to and from the program held in North Salem, Indiana is your responsibility, however transportation from the Indianapolis International Airport will be arranged for you if needed.

Applications will be accepted online through the website Form until June 15, 2016. If you have a spouse or partner who is interested in attending with you, please fill out separate applications and note this on the application

If you have questions or need additional information, please use the Contact Us form on this page and we will get back to you shortly.
